Barros de Souza scored eight goals in a pair of wins for the Cougars this week.  He scored four goals in wins over Mercyhurst University - North East and SUNY Broome CC.  He added three assists to end the week with 19 total points.  Hiago is leading Region III in goals (26) and points (66) this season.

College:  Fulton-Montgomery Community College

Hometown:  Johnstown, New York

Sebastian won the Mountain Valley Conference Championship 4 mile race on Saturday hosted by Herkimer College. He finished with a time of 22:13.1, more than a full minute before the runner up.

 

 

Female Athletes of the Week

Sport:  Volleyball

College:  Finger Lakes Community College

Hometown:  Churchville, New York

Harmon had a total of 60 kills, five service aces, 33 digs, and six blocks this week for the Lakers. She tallied double digit kills in all four matches this week highlighted by 21 kills and 9 digs in a match against Monroe CC.  She posted a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs against SUNY Broome CC. Katie is currently fifth in Region III in kills per set with 3.44 and is fourth in kills with 282.

College:  Finger Lakes Community College

Hometown:  Victor, New York

Piccarreto had a goal and an assist helping to Lakers to a win over Erie CC this week.  Ashlyn is the team's third leading goal scorer and second leading scoring midfielder.

McKenzie Ryan

Sport:  Cross Country

College:  Hudson Valley Community College

Hometown:  Clifton Park, New York

Ryan led the Vikings women's cross country team to the Mountain Valley Conference Championship this weekend.  McKenzie won the 5K race with a time of 21:10, almost 20 seconds ahead of the runner-up and over a minute before the third place finisher.
