Adrian Bergman Sport: Soccer College: Genesee Community College Hometown: Horten, Norway
Bergman recorded two shutouts last week including one against #1 nationally ranked and previously undefeated Herkimer College. The pair of shutouts brought his season total to a nation-leading 6 with 2 being shared. He now ranks in the nation's top-10 in goals-against average (3rd) with 0.57 and save percentage (10th) at .852.

Mohamed Mohamed Sport: Cross Country College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: Syracuse, New York
Mohamed set the pace for the Lazers as they finished 6th out of 11 teams at the Hamilton College Invitational this Saturday. Mohamed finished 37th out of 115 total runners completing the 8K race in 30:17.1, hundredths of a second behind the top junior college finisher. |

Nik Rango Sport: Football College: Hudson Valley Community College Hometown: East Fishkill, New York
The Hudson Valley Community College football team earned their first victory of the year behind a record-breaking performance by quarterback Nik Rango. In the Vikings 42-22 win over Ithaca JV on the road, Rango threw for a program record 412 yards with 20 completions on 33 attempts. He also tossed five touchdown passes with no interceptions to set the Vikings all-time record for touchdown passes in a single game. |
Female Athletes of the Week
Kennedy Myers Sport: Tennis College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: Mexico, New York Myers helped lead the Lazers to their first Regional Championship in Women's Tennis since 1992 this weekend. Kennedy was one of two Onondaga singles champions winning the championship match in 5th Singles 6-2, 6-2 over Sara Figura from SUNY Broome CC. |

Elena Ruznic Sport: Soccer College: Mohawk Valley Community College Hometown: Utica, New York Elena has started every game for the Hawks this season and has only come off of the field for a total of 3 minutes. She is a tenacious defender anchoring the Hawks defense that posted a pair of shutout victories this week including a 1-0 win over nationally ranked Herkimer College. On the season MVCC has recorded six shutouts and allowed a single goal in four additional contests. She is an outstanding defender that has been tasked with covering the opposition's most dangerous attacking players.

Rachel Simmons Sport: Volleyball College: Finger Lakes Community College Hometown: Canandaigua, New York Simmons helped lead the Lakers to a 5-2 this week highlighted by a win at the Cara Bryant Memorial Touranment hosted by Onondaga Community College. Rachel had a total of 97 kills, 5 service aces, and 43 digs including two matches in which she recorded 19 kills. She is currently the region leader in kills per set with 4.86, and is also the region leader in total kills with 403 and is fifth in the region in hitting percentage at .275. She was named Tournament MVP of the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament for her efforts. |
