Rahmel Thompson Sport: Basketball College: Genesee Community College Hometown: Jamaica, NY Rahmel became only the 13th basketball player in GCC history to top 1,000 points in a career when he scored 21 points last week in the regular season finale for the Cougars. Thompson added a team high three steals in the win over Mercyhurst University - North East securing the third seed in the upcoming Region III-Division II/NJCAA District II tournament this week. |

Sydni Eure Sport: Basketball College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: East Syracuse, NY Eure helped the Onondaga CC Women's Basketball team to the Region III Championship this week with double-doubles in each of the team's three tournament games. She posted back-to-back games with at least twenty points and ten rebounds in the semifinals and finals of the tournament. She scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the championship game as she was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. |

Lauren Piotrowski Sport: Bowling College: Schenectady County Community College Hometown: Lauren led the Schenectady CCC Women's Bowling team to the NJCAA National Championship this weekend. The championship marks the fourth straight for the Royals program. Piotrowski was the All-Events Champion tallying 2243 pins in the tournament, fifth in the Singles competition, and finished first with teammate Jenna Lemke in the Doubles competition. |
