The National Junior College Athletic Assocoation (NJCAA) establish a policy in 2014 that addresses the distinction between a "forfeit" and a "no contest." This policy indicates that when games are cancelled as a result of a program not able to complete a season, all scheduled games that are not played due to the season cancellation are designated as no contests rather than forfeits. This would result in no change to the overall record.
The NJCAA policy also allows conferences or leagues to declare forfeit wins and losses for the purpose of standings; Region 3 utilizes this aspect of the policy. This will often result in teams having more Regional wins or losses than overall wins over losses in the standings that are posted on the Region 3 website.
