Shannon led Genesee to a week-ending 3-game win streak and helped the Cougars take 5 of their last 6 contests in South Carolina. Folkes collected 10 base hits with a home run, scored 4 runs, stole 2 bases and added 3 RBI. Shannon saved his best game for GCC’s only Division-I opponent and was by far the team’s best player and the difference in a 5-4 win over Chesapeake College. In that game, Shannon went 3-for-4 at the plate, stole a base, and knocked in the winning run in the last inning.
