Jordan DeVaughn Sport: Basketball College: Schenectady County Community College Hometown: Jacksonville, FL In three games last week DeVaughn average 39 points per game eclipsing the 40 point mark twice. On Monday, he scored 30 points in a win over SUNY Adirondack; he followed that scoring 46 points against Mohawk Valley CC and 41 points against Columbia-Greene CC.

Yusuf Yakubu Sport: Basketball College: Erie Community College Hometown: Lagos, Nigeria Yakubu led the Kats to a pair of conference wins this week. He hit a three-pointer with 5 seconds left in OT to knock off Genesee Community College, scoring 6 of his team's 8 points in the extra frame finishing the game with 30 and 8 rebounds in an 86-84 win. Yakubu also added 19 points and 20 rebounds in an 81-57 win over Jamestown CC -Cattaraugus.

Female Athletes of the Week

Kym Braine Sport: Basketball College: Mercyhurst University - North East Hometown: Erie, PA Kym posted a pair of double-doubles in three games this week. She had 13 points and 12 rebounds against Niagara CCC, 7 points and 17 rebounds against Jamestown CC and 13 points 25 rebounds against Villa Maria College. Braine is currently leading the country at the DII level in rebounds with 15.1 per game.

Albanellys Perez Sport: Basketball College: Niagara County Community College Hometown: Medina, NY Perez, who currently sits 5th in NJCAA Div. II at 13.5 rebounds per game, had another big week for the nationally-ranked Thunderwolves. The sophomore forward had 19 points and 13 rebounds in an 81-50 win over Mercyhurst University-North East and followed that up with 17 points and 14 boards in a 74-59 loss to No. 2 Monroe CC.

Islelie Silvanie Sport: Swimming & Diving College: Genesee Community College Hometown: Willemstad, Curacao Silvanie swam to three first place individual finishes at the Jamestown CC Invitational over the weekend, helping the GCC women's swimming and diving team to a 2nd place team finish. Silvanie paced the 100 IM (1:10.65), 100 backstroke (1:12.47) and the 100 breaststroke (1:19.15). She was also part of a pair of relay wins, topping the 200 medley and 400 free.
