Joel Ciccarelli Sport: Baseball College: Erie Community College Hometown: Syracuse, NY Joe was dominated in ECC's series opening win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College in the first round of the Region III Tournament this weekend. Ciccarelli allowed one run on two hits in an 11-1 victory recording ten strikeouts in the five inning complete game. |

Jerry Staats Sport: Lacrosse College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: Six Nations, Ontario, Canada Jerry helped lead OCC to back-to-back national championships with an 11-9 victory over Nassau CC. In the semifinal win over Howard CC stats anchored the defense with eight groundball and a pair of caused turnovers. He added a goal and an assist in the 23-12 win. Staats added another pair of groundballs and caused turnovers in the national championship game and was named Defensive Player of the Year. |

Malerie Belles Sport: Track and Field College: Herkimer College Hometown: Clay, NY Malerie won the high jump at the NJCAA Division III National Championship meet earning her 1st Team All-American. She placed fourth in the Heptathlon and was named the NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Women’s Field Athlete of the Year Northeast Region. |

Gillian Laco Sport: Track and Field College: Finger Lakes Community College Hometown: Palmyra, NY Gillian finished first in the pole vault at the NJCAA Division III National Championships last week with a vault 2.46 meters. Her championship finished earned her 1st Team All-American status. |

Emma Moulton Sport: Lacrosse College: Monroe Community College Hometown: Brockport, NY Moulton was named Defensive MVP as the MCC women's lacrosse team won its sixth consecutive NJCAA championship over the weekend. Moulton had two ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers in a 23-8 win over Anne Arundel in the semifinals. She then picked up five ground balls and caused five more turnovers in the 20-13 win over Harford in the title game. |

Amber Terlaje Sport: Softball College: Monroe Community College Hometown: Horseheads, NY Amber was named MVP of the Region III-B softball tournament after leading Monroe to a pair of victories of Corning last Friday. Terlaje pitched a pair of complete games, allowing no earned runs while striking out six, including a shutout victory in the series clinching game. At the plate Terlaje had five hits in eight at-bats. |
