Hometown:  Webster, NY

Ferranti hit .652 (15-for-23) to lead the MCC baseball team to a 6-0 record last week. He tallied five doubles, two home runs, scored 11 runs, and also drove in 11. He homered and drove in five in a win over SUNY Broome CC, went 5-for-5 in a victory against Utica College JV, and closed the week with three hits and three RBIs against Genesee CC.

College:  Genesee Community College

Hometown:  Hamburg, NY

Hollfelder was the top goal and point getter for Genesee in capturing a region title against Monroe CC. Evan registered five of his seven points in the first half, including all four of his goals that came from five shots on net, as the Cougars built a 16-1 halftime lead. In addition to his four goals, he recorded three assists, one groundball and one caused turnover and was named to the all-tournament team.

Hometown:  Trumansburg, NY

Lapp won medalist honors at two Region III tournaments this weekend, winning each event by three strokes. Friday at the Herkimer Invite he fired an even par 72; he followed that with another even par 72 at the Hudson Valley Invite on Saturday. So far this year Dan has finished at the top of the leaderboard in five of the six events he has entered.

Tucci won a pair of first flight singles matches this week against SUNY Broome CC and Mohawk Valley CC without dropping a set, winning each match 6-0, 6-0.  He and teammate Jeremy Atrill paired up to win a pair of doubles matches by scores of 8-3 and 8-0 as Fabrizio finshed the week undefeated.

Hometown:  New Salem, PA

Lei had a big week for the Saints both hitting and pitching as she helped the MNE win the Division 2 Regional Championship. As a pitcher, Guthrie went 4-0 on the week, including two wins in the Region Tournament. In 24 total innings, she allowed just six earned runs and had 35 total strikeouts, including two wins over Orange CCC in the Regional.  At the plate, Guthrie went 9-for-18 with five home runs and 15 RBIs in six games this week. After a 2 homer and 8 RBI game against Cuyahoga on Monday, she hit three home runs in the regional Saturday.

Martinez was the newest addition to the Vikings list of athletes that have already qualified for the National Championships when they competed at the Capital District Classic this weekend hosted by RPI. Ashley dropped two seconds in her 400m to earn a spot in the May 10-12 championship meet. Martinez finished the 400m with a final time of 1:06.21 and she also ran the 100m dash in a time of 14.14 seconds.

Hometown:  Mexico, NY

Kassidy led OCC to a pair of regional wins this week as the Lazers wrapped up their regular season.  Myers set a program record against Erie CC with 14 points in a game when she recorded 8 goals and 6 assists, also tying a program single game record for assists.  She followed up her record setting performance with a pair of goals and another six assists in the team’s regular season finale, the third time she has recorded six assists this season.  Kassidy currents ranks second in the nation with 29 assists this season.
