Tanner Pierce Sport: Soccer College: Finger Lakes Community College Hometown: Livonia, NY Tanner helped lead the Lakers to two victories this past week starting his week with two goals in a 4-1 win over Hudson Valley CC. Pierce followed his midweek performance with a one goal, one assist effort in a 3-0 victory against North Country CC over the weekend.

Female Athlete of the Week

Cassie Birth Sport: Volleyball College: Jefferson Community College Hometown: Black River, NY Cassie helped lead the Cannoneers to a 6-0 start to the season, capture the championship as the host of the Jefferson Invitational Tournament, and to their first conference win of the season. Cassie racked up 43 digs, 45 kills, and 27 service points, averaging 3.5 kills and 3.3 digs per set. She had a very solid weekend both offensively and defensively and her leadership on the court helped lead this team to an impressive start to the season.
