2013-14 Region III Female Athlete of the Year

Jasmine Canady College: Jefferson Community College Sports: Basketball Class: Sophomore
This past season Jasmine helped lead her team to a 20-7 record and an appearance in the regional semi-finals. This season she was named Mid-State Conference Player of the Week twice and Region III Athlete of the Week twice; she was also named NJCAA Division III Player of Week once. She led Region III in scoring and eclipsed the 1000 point scoring mark at Jefferson this year. She was selected as the Mid-State Conference Player of the Year, Region III Player of the Year, and an NJCAA second team All-American. Her honors culminated by being selected as a SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete. Canady plans to attend Methodist University in North Carolina next year to continue her education and playing career. |

Warren Hill College: Onondaga Community College Sports: Lacrosse Class: Sophomore
Warren helped lead his team to consecutive NJCAA National Championships, including this year’s undefeated season. He was selected as the Region III Player of the Year while receiving first team NJCAA All-American honors. He was twice named Region III Championship game MVP and NJCAA National Championship game MVP. Warren was twice named JUCO Defensive Player of the Year. He also received the honor of being named a SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athlete. |
