Sam Castronova Sport: Football College: Erie Community College Hometown: Williamsville, NY The sophomore quarterback guaranteed Erie’s first back-to-back winning seasons in over a decade by accumulating almost 400 yards of offense in leading Erie CC to its 5th-consecutive road win with a 54-14 win Sunday, improving the Kats’ record to 6-2 on the season. Castronova threw 4 touchdowns to 4 different receivers in registering a career-high 332 passing yards. In addition, he was just a yard shy of being the Kats’ top ground gainer by adding 55 yards on 8 carries.

Tiffany Amentler Sport: Cross Country College: Herkimer College Hometown: Elmira, NY Tiffany earned a spot on the Mountain Valley Conference Team by running a time of 21:36 a 6:58 pace for 3.1 miles at the Mountain Valley Conference Championship hosted by Herkimer College on Saturday. Her finish helped the Generals captured the Mountain Valley Conference Championship.

SallyAnne Rudny Sport: Vollyball College: Jamestown Community College Hometown: Cheektowaga, NY Sally helped the Jayhawks continue their success with a win over nationally ranked Butler CCC and a 3-0 record in the WNYAC Tournament this week. She added to her impressive stat line with 6 aces, 53 kills, 3 solo block and 21 digs in 9 sets played. The weekend kept Rudny at the top of the national leader board for kills per set and total kills.
