Sean Connors

Sport:  Baseball

College:  Onondaga Community College

Hometown:  Schenectady, NY

Connors gave up six hits and accumulated six strikeouts as he pitched six shutout innings in a, 9-3, victory on Sunday against SUNY Broome CC. He pitched his way out of a jam in the second inning after giving up three straight singles. Connors masterfully had two back-to-back strikeouts and a ground out to leave the runners stranded to maintain his shutout.

 

Davis Prince

Sport:  Lacrosse

College:  Genesee Community College

Hometown:  London, ON

Davis helped the No. 5 GCC men's lacrosse team to a pair of wins last week, totaling 24 points in two games. Prince began the week by tying the school record for most assists in a single game with eight in a road win at Mercyhurst North East. He also scored four goals to record 12 total points. Prince followed that up with another 12 point game, scoring seven goals and assisting on five in a road win at Hudson Valley CC.

 

Female Athlete of the Week

 

Mackenzie Weber

Sport:  Softball

College:  Genesee Community College

Hometown:  Wayland, NY

Weber hit .625 (5-8) last week for the GCC softball team and helped the Cougars pick up their third win of the season. Weber went 3-5 with a home run, four runs batted in and two runs scored in a doubleheader against Mercyhurst North East and was 2-3 with two runs scored and a run batted in in a win over Onondaga CC, picking up the win in the circle for Genesee.
