Brandon Horton Sport: Soccer College: Erie Community College Hometown: Liverpool, NY Brandon singlehandedly advanced ECC men’s soccer team to the regional title game with a 5-point effort against Cayuga CC this week. Trailing by a goal in the second half, Brandon assisted on the tying goal and then scored the game-winner before adding a second goal as insurance in leading the Kats to a 4-1 semifinal road win.

Chyanna Bernier Sport: Cross Country College: Herkimer College Hometown: Ilion, NY Coming off her first place finish at the Mountain Valley Conference Championship last week Chyanna won the Region III Championship this weekend at Proctor Park in Utica. Chyanna ran the 5K race with a time of 20:31 and 6:37 pace. She helped her team win the Regional Championship.

Abbey Lombard Sport: Soccer College: Erie Community College Hometown: Lancaster, NY Abbey was named MVP of the Regional Tournament as she led ECC to a first-ever women’s soccer regional title. The freshman led Erie in both the semifinal and championship games last week, accumulating 7 points. The Kats trailed Delta CC 3-0 late in the first before Abbey got her team back on track with a goal with 3:30 left in the first. She got her second of the game and tied the contest at 3-3, before setting up the game-winner to advance ECC to the title game. In the championship game, Erie took the title with a 2-0 win vs. FLCC, and it was again Abbey with the first goal of the game and game-winner to get ECC its first title in soccer.
