Male Athletes of the Week

 

Drew Delsignore

Sport:  Baseball

College:  Mercyhurst University - North East

Hometown:  Youngstown, OH

Drew had a monster week at the plate for the Saints. He was 10 for 20 with 7 runs scored and 7 RBI in 5 games. He had 2 doubles, a triple, and 4 homeruns to lead the offense as the team finished 3-2 including wins over #12 Cuyahoga Community College and Erie Community College.

 

Ryan MacCarrick

Sport:  Baseball

College:  ErieCommunity College

Hometown:  Orchard Park, NY

MacCarrick helped the Kats to a 4-1 record last week with a .563 batting average going 9-for-16, while scoring 6 runs with 9 RBI to go with 2 stolen bases. Ryan is 3rd in the nation in batting average with .474, 3rd in hits with 46, 4th in on-base percentage at .545, 6th in stolen bases with 12, 11th in RBI with 27 and 12th in runs with 30. Last week he scored at least once in all five games and was the impetus for Erie’s six-game win streak.

 

Female Athletes of the Week

Shannon Baker

Sport:  Softball

College:  Genesee Community College

Hometown:  Cory, PA

Shannon collected 15 total hits last week for the GCC softball team, batting .556 in eight games for the Cougars. Baker hit safely in all but one game and delivered three extra-base hits, including a home run; she scored nine runs and drove in five. She also threw four complete games striking out 38 batters in 38 innings while posting a 2-3 record in five starts.

 

 

Madison Pritchard

Sport:  Lacrosse

College:  Onondaga Community College

Hometown:  Syracuse, NY

Pritchard helped lead the Onondaga Community College women’s lacrosse team to a 3-0 week. She tallied 15 points on nine goals and six assists. She recorded seven points on three goals and four assists in Onondaga’s 17-7 win over Erie CC and six points on four goals and two assists to lead the Lazers to an 18-4 victory over Suffolk CCC.
