Matthew Bennett Sport: Lacrosse College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: Onondaga Reservation Bennett helped lead the Lazers to a win in their only contest this week. In their matchup against second-ranked Genesee Community College, the returning Junior College Offensive Player of the Year tallied four goals and one assist in the Lazers 15-10 win Saturday afternoon at David W. Murphy field. In five games this season, Bennett leads the team with 21 points on 10 goals and a team-high 11 assists.

Jesse Staudt Sport: Baseball College: Mercyhurst University - North East Hometown: Cochranton, PA Jesse had a huge weekend for the Saints as they squared off against Potomac State College. Staudt was 10-13 with 5 runs scored and two doubles. He also had a hit in a game played vs Onondaga CC earlier in the week to extend his hitting streak to 11 straight games. On the week He was 11-16 with 5 runs scored and two doubles.

Cheyenne Burnam Sport: Lacrosse College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: Monroe, NC In Onondaga’s lone game this week, the Lazers faced off against Nassau Community College. Burnam registered a game-high seven points with four goals and three assists in the Lazers 23-3 win Wednesday afternoon at David W. Murphy field. In four games this season, Burnam leads the team with 18 points on eight goals and a team-high 10 assists.

Amanda Dow Sport: Softball College: Genesee Community College Hometown: Greece, NY Dow hit a combined .600 (9-15) in four games last week for the GCC softball team. Dow recorded three multi-hit games, scored four runs and drove in three. She also collected three extra-base hits. Dow is hitting .500 so far this season, currently leading the team.
