Justin Alleyne-Washington Sport: Basketball College: Niagara County Community College Hometown: Mt. Vernon, NY Alleyne-Washington helped the injury-plagued Thunderwolves (6-2) to an 81-78 non-conference win over Lakeland CC this past week. The freshman wing came off the bench to record a career-high 23 points and six rebounds in the win. It was his 3-pointer in the final minute that provided the final margin of victory.

Female Athlete of the Week

Alliyah Gillespie Sport: Basketball College: Niagara County Community College Hometown: Troy, NY Gillespie led the Thunderwolves (11-1) to three wins this past week. The freshman guard had 20 points, five rebounds and three steals in a 69-58 win over Lakeland CC. In a 98-67 victory over Henry Ford College, Gillespie notched 21 points, eight boards and four assists. She finished things up with 15 points, five assists and three rebounds in a 76-56 win over Villa Maria College. Gillespie, who currently leads Region III Division II scorers with 15.6 PPG, was named to the NCCC Thunderwolves All-Tournament team for her efforts against HFC and VMC.
