Nicholas Garbarino Sport: Lacrosse College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: Binghamton, NY Garbarino of the top-ranked Onondaga Community College men’s lacrosse team helped lead the Lazers to a 26-2 season-opening win over nationally ranked SUNY Delhi on Friday after scoring a career-high 10 points. Garbarino tallied eight goals and two assists as the No. 1 Lazers won their 88th consecutive game with a 26-2 victory over the seventh ranked Broncos. |

Naquil Jones Sport: Basketball College: Genesee Community College Hometown: Philadelphia, PA Naquil was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2014-15 NJCAA Region III Division II men's basketball tournament, helping GCC to its first regional title in 12 years. Jones scored a game-high 31 points and was a perfect 10-10 at the free-throw line in the semifinals against Niagara County CC and finished with a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds in the finals against Monroe CC. Genesee battled back to win the championship after trailing by 18 points late in the second half. |

Alyssa Crosby Sport: Basketball College: Jefferson Community College Hometown: Brier Hill, NY Alyssa led Jefferson to a semifinal berth in the Region 3 tournament this weekend. She averaged 25 points per game and 12 rebounds per game while shooting 58 % from the floor. In the Cannoneers quarterfinal win over Fulton-Montgomery CC Alyssa surpassed the 1000 point mark in her career at Jefferson, becoming the third player in program history to reach that mark. |
