Male Athletes of the Week

Chris Davison

Sport:  Soccer

College:  Cayuga Community College

Hometown:  Newcastle, England

Chris has been instrumental in Cayuga's success this season, but more so this week, when he had 2 assists and two goals against Erie Community College in a 6-0 for the Spartans.

 

 
Justin Garn

Sport:   Cross Country

College:  Onondaga Community College

Hometown:  Marcellus, NY

Justin paced the Lazers to a third place finish on Saturday at the Cazenovia WIldcat Homecoming Invitational. Garn led Onondaga and finished fifth overall in the 8k after crossing the finish line with a time of 29:55. Garn has finished in the top 10 in back-to-back races.

 

Female Athletes of the Week

Jordan Glosser

Sport:  Volleyball

College:  Niagara County Community College

Hometown:  Wilson, NY

Jordan helped the Niagara CCC women’s volleyball team capture three regional wins this weekend. Her performance resulted in 39 kills with a hitting percentage of .380. She was also able to rack up 35 digs and 45 points. She accomplished this in only 9 sets of action over three matches. Her efforts to date has landed her in the top 3 in kills per game, top 5 in kills, and top 10 in hitting percentage.

 

Brianna Seeley

Sport:  Volleyball

College:  SUNY Adirondack

Hometown:  Hudson Falls, NY

Seeley led SUNY Adirondack to a 4-0 midseason surge this week highlighted with 20 kills, 6 aces, 4 blocks and 19 digs in the match against Onondaga CC. She also made 17 kills, 4 blocks, 3 aces, 4 assists and 20 digs against Jefferson CC. Seeley currently ranks high in Region III in 3 statistical categories: hitting percentage, kills per set, and total kills. Brianna’s performance has helped the team to a 10-game winning streak.

 

 

Ryenn Smith

Sport:   Volleyball

College:  Finger Lakes Community College

Hometown:  Lyons, NY

Ryenn helped lead the Lakers to a 3-1 week against Division III competition. She set a new career high with 21 kills against Division II Genesee CC. She then tied the mark the next day in a MSAC matchup with Broome. Smith averaged 15 kills per match on the week with a .379 hitting percentage. On the season, she is second in the nation in total kills with 302.
