Romeo Kpolo Sport: Men's Soccer College: Onondaga Community College Hometown: Syracuse, NY Kpolo helped guide the Lazers to a 1-1 week. Kpolo combined to post three points and nine shots in two games as the Lazers defeated Jefferson Community College, 3-1, before falling in overtime to Finger Lakes Community College, 1-0. Against the Cannoneers, Kpolo scored the go-ahead goal on a penalty kick in the game’s 46th minute before assisting on another goal late in the second period.

Female Athletes of the Week

Ruthanne Forehand Sport: Women's Soccer College: Tompkins Cortland Community College Hometown: Groton, NY Ruthanne scored two goals in each of TC3's games this week, helping the Panthers to a pair of wins. She has scored in three of the last four games, and for the year she is tied for the team lead in scoring with six goals and two assists.

Nohema Garcias Torres Sport: Volleyball College: Genesee Community College Hometown: Guaynabo, PR Garcias Torres helped the GCC volleyball team to a 7-0 week, including a tournament title at the Community College of Rhode Island tournament where the Cougars did not lose a single set. Garcia Torres had 35 assists, 20 digs and four aces in a win over Jamestown CC and totaled 121 assists, 32 digs, 12 kills and six aces at the CCRI tournament. After starting the season 1-9, Genesee CC has improved its record to 12-11.
