Male Athletes of the Week

Jarred Hinkson

Sport:  Soccer

College:  Onondaga Community College

Hometown:  Buffalo, NY

Hinkson tallied five points in two games as the Lazers posted a 1-1 mark this week. Jarred assisted on Onondaga's lone goal against top-ranked Herkimer before scoring a season-high two goals in a 4-3 win over Fulton-Montgomery CC on Saturday. For the season, Hinkson has tallied seven points on three goals and one assist.

 

 

 

James Demshick

Sport:  Soccer

College:  Tompkins Cortland Community College

Hometown:  Newburgh, NY

In three games this week, James netted a goal in each contest, including game winners in two. His header with 30 second left against North Country CC gave the Panthers a 3-2 win, capping a 3-0 week that saw James play a role in four of TC3's six goals, three goals and one assist.

 

 

   

Divante Geiger

Sport:  Soccer

College:  Finger Lakes Community College

Hometown:  Hemlock, NY

Geiger, a freshman, helped lead Finger Lakes to a 2-1 victory over Hudson Valley last Wednesday. He scored both goals for the Lakers, who were trailing 1-0 to the Vikings. On the season, Geiger has 4 goals.

 

 

Female Athletes of the Week

Victoria Campanian

Sport:  Cross Country

College:  Herkimer College

Hometown:  Glenfield, NY

Victoria ran a 19:27 with a 6:42 pace at the 2014 Steven Wade Invitational at SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday in the women's 5K run. She finished the race 2nd overall and the first finisher among all Junior Colleges.

 

 

 

Jenelle Dillenbeck

Sport:  Soccer

College:  Mohawk Valley Community College

Hometown:  Fonda, NY

This past week Jenelle scored 9 goals; 2 in a 5-0 win at SUNY Delhi, another pair in a 2-1 win against Genesee CC, and 5 in a 14-0 win against Jamestown CC-Catt. She currently leads the NJCAA Div III in scoring with 12 goals.

 

 

 

Mallory Sullivan

Sport:  Volleytball

College:  Corning Community College

Hometown:  Horseheads, NY

Mallory helped lead the Red Barons to a 6-1 start and a runner-up finish in the Jefferson CC Invitational this week.  On Wednesday, she recorded 6 kills and 1 block in a 3-0 win Broome CC.  In the invitational on Saturday she was consistent including 6 kills and 2 blocks against Finger Lakes CC, 3 kills and 4 blocks against Jefferson CC, and 4 kills and 4 blocks in the semi-final win over Onondaga CC.  On Sunday, Sullivan helped lead the team to a come from behind 3-2 over Jefferson CC with 21 kills, 9 blocks.
